In the months of August and September, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) undertook a massive outreach initiative to uplift the dignity and well-being of underprivileged women across West Delhi. With pandemic recovery still ongoing and household hardships continuing, 300 women received hygiene and dry ration kits, along with dupattas and stoles as a token of care and empowerment. What Was Distributed: Each beneficiary received a thoughtfully packed kit containing: The goal was not only to provide necessities but also to support health, dignity, and morale among women who often remain the silent sufferers in times of crisis. Areas Covered: YSS volunteers worked tirelessly on-ground to reach women in: These areas include some of the most underserved pockets where women lack consistent access to hygiene products, nutritious food, and livelihood. From the Ground “Pehli baar kisi ne rashan ke saath izzat bhi di… dupatta milna chhoti baat nahi hai jab khud ke liye kuch nahi hota,” shared one beneficiary in Prajapat Colony. Our Gratitude YSS deeply thanks all our donors, volunteers, and field workers who made this large-scale outreach possible. Their dedication ensured that each kit delivered was not just a package—but a message of hope and support. At Yash Sewa Samiti, we believe in serving with compassion, and empowering women with dignity—not just during festivals or campaigns, but throughout the year. #HygieneDignityDistribution #RationRelief #WomenEmpowerment #YashSewaSamiti #CommunityCare #SpreadingSmiles #SupportHer #PadsAndPride #DelhiReliefDrive August to September 2020

Raksha Bandhan with Respect – Hygiene & Care Kits for Women and Girls

On the sacred occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a festival symbolizing protection, care, and love, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) extended the spirit of the day by protecting and honoring the dignity of women and adolescent girls in need. Hygiene and Dignity First Recognizing the challenges many underprivileged women face in accessing menstrual hygiene products and basic necessities, YSS distributed: These were not just items, but thoughtful gestures wrapped in love and solidarity. Each packet symbolized the promise of protection, much like the traditional rakhi itself. More Than a Celebration The event was a blend of festive warmth and meaningful outreach. Girls and women felt seen, celebrated, and supported—many with smiles on their faces, grateful not just for the gifts but for the respect and thoughtfulness behind them. A Participant Shared: “Raksha Bandhan par pehli baar laga ki humari suraksha ke baare mein bhi socha gaya hai… sirf rakhi nahi, izzat bhi mili.” Gratitude YSS thanks all donors and volunteers who made this special initiative possible. By standing up for women’s dignity, we honored the true essence of Raksha Bandhan—caring, sharing, and protecting. This Rakhi, we tied the thread of dignity and health around the wrists of our sisters, ensuring they never feel alone in their journey. #RakshaBandhanWithCare #WomenDignity #MenstrualHygiene #YashSewaSamiti #SpreadingSmiles #FestivalOfProtection #PadsAndPride #EmpoweringGirls 2 August ,  2020

Creativity in Quarantine – Online Art Competition for Students Across India

Creativity in Quarantine – Online Art Competition for Students Across India During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, as schools shut down and children remained indoors, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) took an innovative step to keep young minds inspired and engaged. From 5th June to 8th June, we organized a Pan-India Online Art Competition, encouraging students to express their creativity from the safety of their homes. A Canvas of Hope and Imagination With the theme of hope, resilience, and positive expression, children from various age groups participated with enthusiasm. The competition received entries from across India, turning this virtual event into a celebration of unity, imagination, and youthful energy. Students submitted their artwork online—through email, WhatsApp, and social media. Each piece reflected the unique perspective of a child navigating an unusual and difficult time, and their art spoke volumes about courage, joy, and dreams. Celebrating Young Talent After a careful evaluation by a panel of judges, winners were selected based on creativity, message, and presentation. To appreciate and motivate these budding artists, digital gift vouchers and e-certificates were sent to the winners directly. This not only boosted their morale but also reinforced that talent and learning never stop, not even during a lockdown. A Message from YSS “In a time of fear and silence, children’s art spoke loudly and beautifully,” shared a volunteer.“We believe in nurturing expression, especially when the world needs it most.” Through art, we found a way to connect, express, and inspire—even during isolation. Yash Sewa Samiti remains committed to creating meaningful platforms for children to learn, grow, and shine. #OnlineArtCompetition #PandemicCreativity #ArtInLockdown #YashSewaSamiti #ChildrenFirst #SpreadingSmiles #IndiaTogether #VirtualTalentShow 5 June to 8 june , 2020
