On 18th November 2021, a proud and inspiring milestone was achieved at Yash Sewa Samiti as the women of Adharshila SHG (Self-Help Group) officially launched their pickle start-up — “Didi Ka Homemade Achar.” The start-up was inaugurated with the gracious support and presence of: 🤝 BOSCO🤝 National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) Their encouragement and guidance played a crucial role in turning this dream into reality. About the Initiative “Didi Ka Homemade Achar” is more than just a pickle brand — it is a symbol of self-reliance, confidence, and financial independence for the women of Adharshila SHG. Prepared with traditional recipes, hygiene, and love, the venture provides women an opportunity to generate sustainable income from their skills. The Impact  Created livelihood opportunities for SHG women. Encouraged entrepreneurship at the grassroots level. Promoted self-reliance and economic empowerment. Strengthened collaboration between NGOs and government missions. Boosted confidence and leadership among women members. This Diwali, Yash Sewa Samiti celebrated the festival of lights in the most meaningful way — by sharing happiness with children and hardworking families from the community. The NGO premises were filled with joy, laughter, and festive spirit as we organized a special Diwali celebration for underprivileged children and daily wage earners.  Gifts & Distribution  Children received festive gift packs including Frooti, biscuits, and special surprises.Some children were gifted new shoes, bringing confidence and comfort to their daily lives.Gifts were also distributed to daily wagers, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. On 23rd October 2021, on the eve of Karva Chauth, Yash Sewa Samiti organized a beautiful blend of celebration and social awareness for women in the community. 🌸 Free Mehendi Ceremony for Ladies To make the festival special, a Free Mehendi Ceremony was arranged for women. The joy on their faces reflected not just festive excitement but also a sense of belonging and appreciation. The initiative aimed to celebrate womanhood and create a warm, supportive community environment. 🎭 Nukkad Natak on Cleanliness & Single-Use Plastic Alongside the celebration, a powerful Nukkad Natak (street play) was performed by the team of National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM). On 9th October 2021, Yash Sewa Samiti organized a sacred Hawan Ceremony at the NGO premises with the intention of promoting environmental purification, positivity, and community well-being. The spiritual gathering brought together members, guests, and well-wishers who participated wholeheartedly in prayers for health, harmony, and a cleaner environment. On 16th September 2021, Yash Sewa Samiti organized a meaningful Poshan Abhiyan Awareness Program to promote the importance of proper nutrition and healthy living among women in the community. As part of the initiative, we also distributed milk packets to 50+ women, reinforcing the message that small nutritional steps can create a big impact on overall health. The program was not just about distributing milk — it was about nurturing awareness, empowering women with knowledge, and building healthier families.
