Sakhi Baithak – Menstrual Hygiene Awareness & Pad Distribution

Jai Vihar, Nangli Village | 22 December 2021 On 22nd December 2021, Yash Sewa Samiti conducted a meaningful Sakhi Baithak session in Jai Vihar, Nangli Village, focusing on menstrual hygiene awareness and dignity for women. The initiative was generously sponsored by FairGaze and Unicharm, whose support made it possible to reach and benefit women and girls in the community. About the Session The Sakhi Baithak created a safe and comfortable space where women openly discussed: ✔ Importance of menstrual hygiene✔ Breaking myths and taboos around periods✔ Safe usage and disposal of sanitary pads✔ Maintaining personal health and hygiene Sanitary pads were distributed to participants to ensure practical support along with awareness. Aadhaar Updation Camp | 17–18 December 2021

Strengthening Identity, Empowering Citizens On 17th and 18th December 2021, Yash Sewa Samiti organized a 2-Day Aadhaar Updation Camp at the NGO premises to support community members in updating and correcting their Aadhaar details. The camp witnessed an overwhelming response, and 250+ individuals benefitted from the initiative. Services Provided ✔ Aadhaar detail corrections (name, address, mobile number, etc.)✔ Biometric updates✔ Assistance for senior citizens and women✔ Guidance on linking Aadhaar for government schemes For many underprivileged families, accessing official centers can be time-consuming and costly. By bringing the service directly to the community, the camp ensured convenience, accessibility, and transparency. On 18th November 2021, a proud and inspiring milestone was achieved at Yash Sewa Samiti as the women of Adharshila SHG (Self-Help Group) officially launched their pickle start-up — “Didi Ka Homemade Achar.” The start-up was inaugurated with the gracious support and presence of: 🤝 BOSCO🤝 National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) Their encouragement and guidance played a crucial role in turning this dream into reality. About the Initiative “Didi Ka Homemade Achar” is more than just a pickle brand — it is a symbol of self-reliance, confidence, and financial independence for the women of Adharshila SHG. Prepared with traditional recipes, hygiene, and love, the venture provides women an opportunity to generate sustainable income from their skills.
