Monthly Ration Suvidha | Freedom from Hunger on 15 August 2021
On the proud occasion of India’s Independence Day – 15th August 2021, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) celebrated freedom in its truest sense—by helping families move one step closer to freedom from hunger.
Under the initiative MRS – Monthly Ration Suvidha, dry ration kits were distributed to 50+ underprivileged women, many of whom were domestic helpers, widows, and daily wage earners struggling to rebuild their lives after the pandemic.
Why MRS Matters
For many of these women:
- Jobs were irregular or lost completely
- Household income was unstable
- Children’s education and nutrition were at risk
The Monthly Ration Suvidha brought not just food, but relief, dignity, and assurance that they were not alone.

“15 August par jab sab azadi mana rahe the, hume laga hum bhi bhookh se azadi ki taraf badh rahe hain,” shared one beneficiary with gratitude.

Because true independence is when no mother has to worry about feeding her children.
