Yash Sewa Samiti organized a Sanitary Pad Distribution Drive in Indira Jhuggi to promote menstrual hygiene and support women living in underserved communities.
During the initiative, 150+ women and girls received sanitary napkins, ensuring they have access to safe and hygienic menstrual products.
Along with the distribution, an informal awareness interaction was conducted to help women understand the importance of menstrual hygiene, proper usage, and safe disposal of sanitary pads.
Why This Initiative Matters
In many underprivileged communities, access to sanitary products is still limited. Due to lack of awareness and resources, many women rely on unsafe alternatives, which can lead to serious health issues.
Through this initiative, Yash Sewa Samiti aimed to break the silence around menstruation and ensure that women and girls can manage their periods with dignity, safety, and confidence.
