Digital Chaupal: Empowering Women Through Mobile Literacy (7–11 July)
From 7th to 11th July, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) organized a Digital Chaupal for women, helping them understand and confidently use mobile technology in their daily lives. The sessions were conducted with the enthusiastic support of volunteers from Netaji Subhas University of Technology who were doing their internship with the NGO.
Learning the Power of Mobile Technology
The training focused on basic yet essential digital skills, enabling women to:
- Use smartphones for communication and online services
- Understand digital payments and basic apps
- Access useful information and government services through mobile phones
The sessions were interactive, allowing participants to practice and ask questions freely.
Youth Supporting Community Learning
The NSUT interns played an important role in guiding and mentoring the participants patiently, making technology easier and more accessible for women who were new to smartphones.
