Childhood is a time of curiosity, play, and growth. To make learning fun and holistic, Yash Sewa Samiti organized a vibrant 10-day program under the banner of Adharshila Bachpan Club at Vani Vihar Park from 14th to 25th December 2019.
In line with its commitment to holistic development and safety of children, especially girls, Yash Sewa Samiti proudly introduced Judo-Karate activities as part of its Adharshila Bachpan Club and self-defence initiatives.
Launched in December 2019, this addition aimed to build physical strength, discipline, and confidence among young participants — while teaching them vital self-defence techniques.
What Was Taught:
Under the guidance of trained instructors, children learned:
- Basic Judo and Karate stances, blocks, and kicks
- Techniques for personal safety and quick response in case of threats
- Values of discipline, focus, and self-respect through martial arts
- Group drills to build coordination and confidence
Boys and girls participated enthusiastically, especially those from vulnerable backgrounds who often feel powerless or unsafe.
Impact of Judo-Karate Inclusion:
- Boosted physical fitness and mental resilience among children
- Taught essential self-defence skills, especially for adolescent girls
- Encouraged discipline, focus, and mutual respect in group settings
- Instilled a sense of empowerment and self-worth
- Inspired some children to pursue martial arts training more seriously
Message from Yash Sewa Samiti:
“When a child learns to protect themselves, they walk with courage, not fear. Judo and Karate are not just sports — they are tools of empowerment.”
These sessions are now an essential part of our youth development model, helping children become strong in body, mind, and spirit.
