Steps Towards “Swasth Samaj, Swasth Bharat” With the vision of building a healthier community, Yash Sewa Samiti started a Yogshala in Vani Vihar Park on 20th February 2022. Since its inception, the Yogshala has been running continuously and successfully, encouraging people of all age groups to adopt yoga and healthy lifestyle practices. Every morning, community members gather in the park to practice yoga, breathing exercises, and simple fitness routines that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Yash Sewa Samiti organized a Sanitary Pad Distribution Drive in Indira Jhuggi to promote menstrual hygiene and support women living in underserved communities. During the initiative, 150+ women and girls received sanitary napkins, ensuring they have access to safe and hygienic menstrual products. Along with the distribution, an informal awareness interaction was conducted to help women understand the importance of menstrual hygiene, proper usage, and safe disposal of sanitary pads. Why This Initiative Matters In many underprivileged communities, access to sanitary products is still limited. Due to lack of awareness and resources, many women rely on unsafe alternatives, which can lead to serious health issues. Jai Vihar, Nangli Village | 22 December 2021 On 22nd December 2021, Yash Sewa Samiti conducted a meaningful Sakhi Baithak session in Jai Vihar, Nangli Village, focusing on menstrual hygiene awareness and dignity for women. The initiative was generously sponsored by FairGaze and Unicharm, whose support made it possible to reach and benefit women and girls in the community. Strengthening Identity, Empowering Citizens On 17th and 18th December 2021, Yash Sewa Samiti organized a 2-Day Aadhaar Updation Camp at the NGO premises to support community members in updating and correcting their Aadhaar details. The camp witnessed an overwhelming response, and 250+ individuals benefitted from the initiative. Services Provided ✔ Aadhaar detail corrections (name, address, mobile number, etc.)✔ Biometric updates✔ Assistance for senior citizens and women✔ Guidance on linking Aadhaar for government schemes For many underprivileged families, accessing official centers can be time-consuming and costly. By bringing the service directly to the community, the camp ensured convenience, accessibility, and transparency.
