Winter Campaign – “Warm Hugs” with Ek Kapda, Ek Zindagi 27 November, 2020

As the winter chill set in, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) launched its heartfelt Winter Campaign – Warm Hugs, under the powerful motto “Ek Kapda, Ek Zindagi”. The campaign aimed to protect the most vulnerable—daily wagers, street dwellers, children, and the elderly—who battle freezing temperatures without the basic comfort of warm clothing. What We Shared: YSS volunteers, with the support of donors and community members, collected, sorted, and distributed: These essentials were delivered directly to families living in slums, on footpaths, and in under-resourced neighborhoods, giving them not just physical warmth, but emotional comfort—a reminder that they are not forgotten. Ek Kapda, Ek Zindagi – One Cloth, One Life This simple but profound campaign message reminded people that one extra piece of clothing from your cupboard can save someone’s life in winter. The spirit of sharing turned into a beautiful movement, with students, housing societies, and local shopkeepers contributing generously. From the Ground “Thand mein koi apna yaad kare, yehi sabse bada tohfa hai. Yeh kapda sirf bacha nahi, pyar ka ahsaas bhi diya,” shared an elderly man from Prajapat Colony. Our Warm Thanks YSS extends sincere gratitude to all who donated, volunteered, and supported the Warm Hugs campaign. Your one warm gesture became someone’s shield against the biting cold. Because warmth isn’t just in the clothes—it’s in the kindness we wrap around others. Let’s keep spreading it, one hug at a time. #WarmHugs #WinterRelief #EkKapdaEkZindagi #YashSewaSamiti #WinterCampaign #SpreadingSmiles #DignityInWinter #DonateWarmth #HopeInCold 27 November, 2020

Diwali 2020 – Lighting Homes with Education, Dignity & Compassion 17 Nov.,2020

This Diwali, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) celebrated the festival of lights by bringing hope, connectivity, and joy to those who needed it most. While others were lighting diyas in their homes, YSS was lighting up lives—by enabling education, supporting the differently-abled, and ensuring no home was left in darkness or despair. Free Mobile Recharges for Digital Learning Understanding the challenges faced by children of domestic workers in attending online classes due to lack of internet access, YSS provided free mobile phone recharges as a Diwali bonus. This simple but crucial step allowed several children to continue their education uninterrupted, reconnect with their schools, and stay motivated. A New Phone for Nita Ji In a special moment of compassion, Nita Ji, a senior citizen and differently-abled woman, received a new mobile phone from YSS. This gift ensured she could stay connected with loved ones, access support services, and experience digital inclusion—perhaps for the first time.  Diwali Hampers for Families To spread festive warmth, families were also given: A Festival with Heart “Humare bachchon ko recharge mil gaya, toh padhai phir se shuru ho gayi… aur Nita aunty ki muskaan ne toh sabka Diwali roshan kar diya,” shared one volunteer. Our Gratitude We thank all our donors, well-wishers, and volunteers who made this Diwali a celebration of inclusion, education, and empathy. At Yash Sewa Samiti, we believe Diwali is not just about lighting lamps—but lighting lives. Through small acts of kindness, we created big waves of change. #DiwaliWithDignity #DigitalSupport #EducationForAll #NewPhoneNewHope #YashSewaSamiti #SpreadingSmiles #FestivalOfGiving #Diwali2020 17 November, 2020
