On 13th October 2019, the founder of Yash Sewa Samiti, Ms. Sarita Bhatia, was honoured with the Sajag Jal Prahri Samman at the Jal Sansad, a dedicated platform promoting water conservation, sustainability, and community awareness. This prestigious recognition was awarded for her tireless efforts and initiatives to spread awareness about saving water and encouraging sustainable practices within the community. Annual Day Celebration – Sunderkaand Paath & Bhandara at Yash Sewa Samiti, 3 Sep.,2019

To mark another year of heartfelt service and selfless dedication, Yash Sewa Samiti celebrated its Annual Day with spiritual devotion and community bonding. The day began with the auspicious recitation of Sunderkaand and concluded with a soulful Bhandara (community feast) for over 1000 people, including daily wagers, senior citizens, children, and families supported by the NGO. Sunderkaand Paath – A Divine Start The event opened with the melodious and powerful Sunderkaand Paath from the Ramcharitmanas, invoking blessings of Lord Hanuman. The echo of bhakti filled the air with peace, positivity, and gratitude. Devotees listened with folded hands and teary eyes, feeling deeply connected to the divine. Bhandara – Feeding the Body & Soul After the Paath, a grand Bhandara was organized in the NGO premises, where delicious, freshly prepared food was served with love to all. Volunteers ensured smooth distribution and warm hospitality, making sure every guest felt cared for and respected. The event was a celebration of not just the NGO’s journey, but of togetherness, faith, and community service. Sowing Seeds of Sustainability – Vegetable Plantation on Annual Day 3 on September, 2019.

On the occasion of Annual Day, Yash Sewa Samiti took a green initiative by organizing a Vegetable Plantation Drive in the premises of MCD School, Old Uttam Nagar with Eco Club students ,members of Senior Citizens Organization of YSS and Principal Ram Kumar Gupta ji. This thoughtful effort aimed to connect children with nature, promote organic living, and introduce the concept of kitchen gardening and self-sustainability. What We Planted: With the help of teachers, students, and volunteers, saplings of seasonal vegetables such as: Children participated enthusiastically — digging, watering, and learning how vegetables grow from soil to plate. This initiative focuses on building strong foundational skills among underprivileged women and youth to help them lead self-reliant lives. Stitching Course – Building Threads of Independence The flagship course that kickstarted the ABC program was Stitching & Tailoring, aimed at equipping women and adolescent girls with practical, income-generating skills. Health Check-up Camp for Children & Parents 23 March, 2019

Health Check-up Camp for Children & Parents In our mission to ensure health and awareness at the grassroots level, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) organized a comprehensive health check-up camp at New Sainik International School, Vikas Nagar. The camp catered to both students and their parents, emphasizing early diagnosis, preventive care, and awareness. Services Offered: Children & Parents Benefitted: Approx. 350+ individuals  Eye Check-up Conducted by specialists from Centre for Sight, helping detect early vision issues among students and advising proper eye care for parents.  Dental Check-up Clove Dental provided dental examinations, hygiene tips, and follow-ups for dental issues among children.  General Health Awareness RG Stone conducted health screenings and shared tips for kidney health and overall well-being.  Organ, Eye & Body Donation Awareness In collaboration with Dadhichi Deh Dan Samiti, the camp included informative sessions on the importance of organ, eye, and body donation—dispelling myths and encouraging noble pledges.  Impact:  Words from YSS: “Health is the real wealth. Dehdaniyo Ka Utsav – Honouring the Gift of Life
