Promoting Menstrual Hygiene with Dignity Yash Sewa Samiti continued its commitment toward women’s health through its Menstrual Hygiene Initiative – Mission One Million Pads during May and June 2022. Under this mission, sanitary pads were distributed in different community areas as well as at the Vani Vihar Centre of YSS, ensuring that women and girls from underserved sections of society have access to safe and hygienic menstrual products. During this period, 16,600+ sanitary pads were distributed to support women and adolescent girls in managing their menstrual health with dignity and confidence. Purpose of the Initiative The mission aims to break the silence and stigma around menstruation while ensuring that women and girls have affordable and accessible hygiene solutions. Along with distribution, awareness was also promoted about the importance of menstrual hygiene and safe practices. Supporting a Musician in Need – A Step Towards Compassion Yash Sewa Samiti believes that every individual deserves dignity, care, and support, especially during difficult times. In one such heartfelt initiative, the organization extended help to Mr. Brijmohan, a talented artisan of guitar making, who has been struggling with Parkinson’s disease. Due to his health condition, Mr. Brijmohan was unable to continue his craft and earn a regular livelihood.
