As the nation faced the second lockdown from April 2021, many underprivileged families struggled to arrange daily essentials. To support them during this critical period, Yash Sewa Samiti started distributing basic dry ration kits from 30th April onward.
Each kit contained:
- 5 kg Wheat Flour
- 4 kg Rice
- 1 litre Cooking Oil
- 1 kg Sugar
- Tea Leaves
- Salt
- Haldi (Turmeric)
These essentials ensured that families had enough to prepare meals and sustain themselves during the uncertain weeks of the lockdown.
Impact of the Initiative
- Hundreds of families received ration support, easing the burden of arranging food during a time when work and income had come to a standstill.
- The ration kits provided not just nutrition but also relief from anxiety, allowing families to focus on safety and health rather than daily survival.
- Community members expressed gratitude, sharing that this timely help came as a lifeline when they had no source of income or support.
- Volunteers of YSS worked tirelessly to identify needy families and ensure that no one slept hungry in the areas we serve.
This initiative once again reinforced Yash Sewa Samiti’s commitment to standing with the community in times of crisis, bringing hope, dignity, and sustenance to those most in need.
