Empowering Entrepreneurs with Knowledge & Opportunity: Digital & Financial Literacy Training (17–19 July 2024)
From 17th to 19th July 2024, a focused and impactful Digital Literacy and Financial Literacy Training Program was conducted for aspiring entrepreneurs, in collaboration with LeapForWord Foundation and National Urban Livelihoods Mission. The initiative aimed to equip participants with essential skills to navigate the modern business landscape and strengthen their financial independence.
Building Digital Confidence
In today’s fast-paced digital world, having the right skills is crucial. The training sessions helped entrepreneurs:
- Understand digital tools and platforms for business growth
- Learn effective use of smartphones and online applications
- Explore ways to promote and manage businesses digitally
Participants gained practical exposure, making them more confident in leveraging technology for their ventures.
Strengthening Financial Literacy
Equally important was the focus on financial awareness. The program covered:
- Basics of financial planning and budgeting
- Importance of savings and responsible spending
- Understanding banking systems and digital transactions
These insights enabled participants to make informed financial decisions and manage their business resources effectively.
Recognizing Innovation & Supporting Growth
A key highlight of the program was the encouragement of entrepreneurial ideas. Participants presented their business proposals, and:
- Selected candidates with the best proposals received financial assistance of ₹6,500 each
This support acted as a seed fund, helping them take the first step toward turning their ideas into reality.
