Empowering Women Through Skill Training of food processing in KVK UJWA 16 Nov.,2019

 21 Days Training on Food Processing & Preservation Techniques
 Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Ujwa
 

Yash Sewa Samiti, with its commitment to women empowerment and livelihood generation, proudly facilitated the participation of its women beneficiaries in a 21 days training program on Food Processing and Food Preservation Techniques at KVK Ujwa.

Objective:

To equip women with hands-on skills and knowledge in food processing to help them start their own small businesses or self-help group-based enterprises.

Training Highlights:

Participants received detailed practical and theoretical knowledge on:

  • Pickle Making
  • Murabba (fruit preserve) Preparation
  • Chutney and Sauce Making
  • Candy Making from Fruits
  • Food Preservation Techniques
  • Packaging & Shelf-life Management
  • Basic Hygiene, Labelling & Marketing Tips

 Impact:

  • Over 15 women from YSS participated and successfully completed the course
  • Several of them initiated homemade pickles and chutney businesses post-training
  • Many women joined Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and began producing for local markets
