As the world slowly emerged from the shadows of the pandemic, basic hygiene—once taken for granted—became a top priority. Recognizing the urgent need for menstrual and personal hygiene products, Punjab National Bank (PNB) extended its support to Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) by donating 500 sanitary napkins and 500 hand sanitizers.
This generous contribution came at a critical time, helping us reach women and girls in underserved communities with essential hygiene supplies and much-needed dignity.
Distribution Drive for Health & Dignity
YSS immediately mobilized its volunteers to:
- Distribute the donated sanitary napkins Masks and sanitizers to women in slums, daily wage earners, and adolescent girls
- Spread awareness about menstrual hygiene and the importance of hand cleanliness, especially post-pandemic
- Distribute additional free sanitary pads from our established free pad centre, ensuring consistent access for those who cannot afford them
The initiative empowered women to prioritize their health without shame or financial stress, addressing both practical and emotional challenges around menstruation.
