As the lockdown extended beyond April 2, 2020, the challenges for daily wage earners deepened. With no income, savings depleting, and no clarity on when normal life would resume, the most vulnerable were left battling both fear and hunger.
In response, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) intensified its relief work by verifying and identifying genuine daily wage earners through local sources and online forms. Once verified, the families were called individually and safely provided with dry ration kits while maintaining social distancing and hygiene protocols with the great support of our supporters and volunteers,
Ration Kits Included:
- Wheat flour (atta)
- Rice
- Cooking oil
- Sugar
- Tea leaves
- Pulses
Thanks to the generosity of our kind-hearted donors, over 100+ families received these kits and were able to cook meals for their children and loved ones during these uncertain times.
From the Ground
Most recipients were daily laborers, rickshaw pullers, housemaids, and small vendors. One mother shared with gratitude, “Is waqt roti milna kisi daan se kam nahi… aap logon ne bhagwan ban kar madad ki.”
Gratitude
We are incredibly thankful to each donor who trusted us and stood with these families during the crisis. Your support helped turn despair into dignity and hunger into hope.
In times of crisis, compassion becomes the biggest relief. Yash Sewa Samiti pledges to keep supporting those in need – with your help.
