On 17th and 18th February 2025, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) successfully conducted a soap-making workshop under Project Sabla, with generous CSR support from Canara Bank. The initiative aimed to equip women with practical skills for sustainable livelihoods and entrepreneurship.
Skill Building for Self-Reliance
The two-day workshop trained around 25 women, providing hands-on experience in:
- Soap-making techniques using safe and simple methods
- Understanding ingredients, fragrances, and packaging
- Basics of product presentation and quality
Participants learned how to create market-ready products from easily available resources.
From Learning to Earning
The workshop went beyond training—it inspired action. Women were guided on:
- Starting small home-based businesses
- Costing, pricing, and selling their products
- Exploring local markets and customer demand

The most inspiring outcome of the program was that:
- 3 women entrepreneurs started their own soap-making business after the training
