In July 2020, with the success of its first online internship, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) proudly launched Internship 2.0, once again inviting college students from across the country to contribute, learn, and grow in the social sector during the ongoing pandemic.
But this time, the internship brought an exciting twist — a Logo Design Competition, calling upon young creative minds to visualize and design a fresh identity for YSS.
Internship 2.0 – Youth Engagement with Purpose
Interns were engaged in real-time community issues through tasks like:
- Content creation for social awareness
- Research-based writing
- Campaign planning
- Social media engagement
- Field research (where possible)
The program empowered students to become socially responsible leaders and offered them meaningful exposure to ground-level NGO functioning, even in a remote setting.
Logo Design Competition – A Creative Challenge
To harness the creative energy of the youth, YSS introduced a Logo Design Competition as a special activity during Internship 2.0. Participants were asked to reflect:
- YSS’s core values: Service, Empowerment, Education, and Equality
- The mission of spreading smiles and uplifting lives
The response was overwhelming, with dozens of unique, thoughtful entries pouring in from interns. Each design reflected their understanding of the NGO’s mission and their personal creative touch.
Recognition
Winners of the logo competition were awarded digital certificates and appreciation gifts, and top entries were featured on YSS’s social media platforms. The competition boosted intern morale, encouraged artistic expression, and gave many students their first chance to design for a real organization.
From Participants
“Internship 2.0 helped me explore both my creative side and my social responsibility. Designing a logo for a cause felt powerful.”
“This was more than just learning—it was belonging to something that matters.”
Yash Sewa Samiti continues to create platforms where young voices and talents are not just heard—but celebrated. Internship 2.0 and the Logo Competition were perfect examples of that vision in action.
