National Youth Day – Pledging for Purpose & Progress

On 12th January, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) celebrated National Youth Day with great enthusiasm and inspiration at its NGO premises. The day paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda’s vision of youth empowerment, nation-building, and selfless service.

Honoring the Youth Spirit

The celebration began with a brief session on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, highlighting his message of strength, unity, and service. Participants, including youth volunteers and members of the Adharshila Youth Club, came together to recite the National Youth Day Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to:

  • Serve the nation with honesty and responsibility
  • Promote harmony and mutual respect
  • Lead with courage and compassion

A Special Pledge for Water Conservation

Along with the National Youth Pledge, all participants also took a special pledge for water conservation, vowing to:

  • Use water responsibly
  • Prevent water wastage
  • Spread awareness in the community about the importance of saving water

This environmental commitment aimed to send a strong message to the community about sustainable living and youth leadership in protecting natural resources.

Words That Echo

“Aaj sirf ek pledge nahi li, ek zimmedari bhi li hai – apne aur samaj ke behtar kal ke liye,” said one of the youth participants.

A Day of Inspiration

The program concluded with motivational talks, group discussions, and a renewed energy to uphold Swami Vivekananda’s teachings through action, awareness, and accountability.

Because youth are not just dreamers of a better future—they are the doers. And when they pledge with purpose, change is inevitable.
