On 19th January, as the winter cold continued to grip the city, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) stepped forward to bring comfort and care to those who needed it the most. In a heartfelt outreach, blankets and dry ration kits were distributed to 50+ daily wage earners and their families, helping them brave both the cold and hunger.
A Blanket of Warmth
Daily wagers—many of whom work in construction, sanitation, and street vending—struggle to afford warm bedding during harsh winters. YSS distributed thick woollen blankets to offer relief from the cold nights, especially for those living in makeshift shelters or on pavements.
Ration Relief Kits
Each family also received a ration kit consisting of:
- Wheat flour
- Rice
- Pulses
- Oil
- Sugar and salt
- Tea leaves
These essentials helped ease their daily food insecurity, ensuring families had enough to sustain themselves through the season.
Heartfelt Response
“Thand mein kam se kam kambal mil gaya… aur rashan se pet bhi bhara rahega kuch din. Shukriya YSS,” said a beneficiary near Vani Vihar.
Our Commitment
Yash Sewa Samiti is committed to supporting dignity in survival—not just during disasters, but whenever hardship strikes. This drive was made possible with the support of our donors and dedicated volunteers who continue to stand with us in our mission.
Because sometimes, a blanket isn’t just a cover—it’s comfort. And a ration kit isn’t just food—it’s hope.
