Yash Sewa Samiti recently organized an impactful initiative titled “Swachhata ki Pathshala”, a day dedicated to educating, empowering, and encouraging cleanliness and hygiene in underserved communities. This initiative blended traditional practices, modern awareness, and essential support to promote a healthier lifestyle.
Hawan – Cleansing the Environment Spiritually
The event began with a Hawan, performed by Pandit Ji, invoking divine blessings for environmental purification and community well-being. The sacred mantras, smoke from herbs, and spiritual ambiance created a powerful sense of harmony and positivity among attendees.
Sakhi Baithak – Awareness Session on Menstrual Health & Hygiene
A special session called “Sakhi Baithak” was conducted, focusing on breaking taboos around menstruation and spreading awareness about menstrual hygiene. Women and adolescent girls were educated on proper menstrual care and encouraged to speak openly about their concerns.
Dustbins & Sanitary Pad Distribution
To promote hygienic practices, dustbins were distributed to local households and community spots. Additionally, sanitary pads were provided to women and girls, ensuring access to safe and hygienic menstrual products. This small yet vital step aims to reduce infections and school dropouts among girls.
Impact of Swachhata ki Pathshala:
- Strengthened awareness about cleanliness, waste disposal, and personal hygiene.
- Empowered women and girls through open dialogue on menstrual health.
- Improved community sanitation through dustbin use and awareness.
- Promoted dignity and health through access to sanitary pads.
- Fostered community bonding and spiritual upliftment through Hawan.
Message from Yash Sewa Samiti:
“Cleanliness is not just about our surroundings, it’s about our body, our thoughts, and our society. Swachhata ki Pathshala was a humble step to light the lamp of awareness and care in every home.”
