Annual Day Celebration – Sunderkaand Paath & Bhandara at Yash Sewa Samiti, 3 Sep.,2019

To mark another year of heartfelt service and selfless dedication, Yash Sewa Samiti celebrated its Annual Day with spiritual devotion and community bonding. The day began with the auspicious recitation of Sunderkaand and concluded with a soulful Bhandara (community feast) for over 1000 people, including daily wagers, senior citizens, children, and families supported by the NGO. Sunderkaand Paath – A Divine Start The event opened with the melodious and powerful Sunderkaand Paath from the Ramcharitmanas, invoking blessings of Lord Hanuman. The echo of bhakti filled the air with peace, positivity, and gratitude. Devotees listened with folded hands and teary eyes, feeling deeply connected to the divine. Bhandara – Feeding the Body & Soul After the Paath, a grand Bhandara was organized in the NGO premises, where delicious, freshly prepared food was served with love to all. Volunteers ensured smooth distribution and warm hospitality, making sure every guest felt cared for and respected. The event was a celebration of not just the NGO’s journey, but of togetherness, faith, and community service. Sowing Seeds of Sustainability – Vegetable Plantation on Annual Day 3 on September, 2019.

On the occasion of Annual Day, Yash Sewa Samiti took a green initiative by organizing a Vegetable Plantation Drive in the premises of MCD School, Old Uttam Nagar with Eco Club students ,members of Senior Citizens Organization of YSS and Principal Ram Kumar Gupta ji. This thoughtful effort aimed to connect children with nature, promote organic living, and introduce the concept of kitchen gardening and self-sustainability. What We Planted: With the help of teachers, students, and volunteers, saplings of seasonal vegetables such as: Children participated enthusiastically — digging, watering, and learning how vegetables grow from soil to plate. In a beautiful act of kindness, a group of generous parlour professionals joined hands with Yash Sewa Samiti to give free haircuts to underprivileged children from our community. Nirjala Ekadashi Seva – Spreading Relief & Kindness in the Summer Heat

Date: Nirjala Ekadashi | 📍Location: Vani Vihar & Nearby Areas As temperatures soared, Yash Sewa Samiti stood by its mission of Seva Parmo Dharma by organizing a cooling refreshment drive and welfare distribution on the sacred occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi. The initiative aimed to provide relief from the intense summer heat to those who labor hard under the sun – rickshaw pullers, daily wagers, and street vendors. Rooh Afza Water & Milk Shabeel A community shabeel (refreshment stall) was set up, where cold Rooh Afza water and milk were distributed to passersby, laborers, children, and senior citizens. The refreshing drinks quenched thirst and brought smiles, reminding everyone that compassion is the purest offering. Towels & Chappals Gifted To provide much-needed relief to those working barefoot or without shade, 50 rickshaw pullers and daily wage earners were gifted: Each kit was handed over with warmth, respect, and gratitude for their hard work. The camp aimed to serve those who often skip medical check-ups due to lack of access or financial constraints. Services Offered at the Camp: 👁️ Eye Check-up Camp:A dedicated eye screening unit was set up, where Dr.Achin Rawat a qualified ophthalmologists conducted eye tests, screened for common issues like blurry vision, cataract, and glaucoma. Beneficiaries were also guided about free or subsidized spectacles and treatments. Gynecologist Consultation for Women:Understanding the importance of women’s health, Dr. Prachi Rawat ,a lady gynecologist from Shri Ram Centre for maternity was invited for free consultation. Women were given advice and treatment on menstrual issues, reproductive health, PCOD,and menopause-related challenges — many opening up for the first time about their concerns. Awareness Session by Dadhichi Dehdaan Samiti:In collaboration with Dadhichi Dehdaan Samiti, a powerful awareness session was conducted on eye, organ, and body donation. Volunteers explained the significance of giving life after life, and many attendees were inspired to pledge their organs for donation. Self-Defence Camp for Girls – Saksham : Building Strength, Confidence & Awareness

Empowerment begins with safety — and to take a meaningful step in that direction, Yash Sewa Samiti organized a 15-day Self-Defence Camp for girls and young women at Vani Vihar Park. The initiative combined physical strength, mental clarity, and intellectual development through a variety of activities. Highlights of the Camp Self-Defence Training:Girls were taught basic and advanced self-defence techniques by experienced trainers. These included methods to respond to real-life situations such as street harassment and personal safety threats. The training instilled confidence, courage, and a sense of control over one’s safety. Yoga Sessions:Each morning began with energizing yoga and meditation to improve physical fitness, mental peace, and emotional resilience. Yoga instructors guided participants through asanas focused on flexibility, balance, and stress relief — building a calm and strong foundation. Intellectual Speeches & Awareness Talks:Renowned intellectuals, social activists, and motivational speakers were invited to address the girls. Topics included: These talks sparked inspiration and opened new perspectives for many participants.
