Sakhi Baithak: Empowering Women Through Awareness & Care

With the aim of promoting health awareness and dignity among women and adolescent girls, Yash Sewa Samiti (YSS) organized “Sakhi Baithak” — a meaningful initiative focused on educating and empowering participants through awareness sessions and interactive workshops.

Under Yash Sewa Samiti’s ongoing efforts towards community well-being and awareness, the sessions addressed important topics related to:

Menstrual Hygiene Awareness
Health & Nutrition
Personal Hygiene & Self-care
Importance of Healthy Lifestyle Practices

The initiative created a safe and comfortable space where adolescent girls and women could openly discuss their concerns, ask questions, and gain accurate information about health and hygiene.

Promoting Dignity & Care

As part of the program, sanitary napkins were distributed among the participants to encourage proper menstrual hygiene practices and break the stigma surrounding menstruation.

The sessions emphasized that awareness and access to hygiene products are essential steps toward ensuring the health, confidence, and dignity of women and girls.

Impact Created

Increased awareness about menstrual hygiene and nutrition
Encouraged healthy habits and self-care practices                                                                    Created an open environment for discussion and learning
Promoted dignity and confidence among participants

Towards a Healthier & Aware Society

Through initiatives like Sakhi Baithak, Yash Sewa Samiti continues its mission of empowering women and adolescent girls with knowledge, support, and essential resources—because an informed and healthy woman builds a stronger community.
